New management plan for Brunswick Boat Group
DURHAM, N.C. – The Brunswick Boat Group, a unit of Brunswick Corp. (NYSE: BC), has deployed the AIMS QLM (Quality Lifecycle Management) framework in its operations, according to a press release this morning from the management solution company.
AIMS said its framework – a platform for management over the entire product lifecycle from design through manufacturing and from suppliers to field services – will help Brunswick extend “quality and production management capabilities to a new level for their Sea Ray, Boston Whaler and Hatteras Yacht boat manufacturing operations,” according to the company.
“Our framework is designed for companies like Brunswick, with robust capabilities for multi-plant deployment, functions from design through distribution, and the ability to handle quality needs from Hatteras to the full range of recreational and sport fishing products at Sea Ray and Boston Whaler,” said AIMS CEO Perry Smith.
Based on Internet technologies, AIMS QLM scales from individual plants to enterprise-wide deployment, on client platforms from PDA to tablet to desktop. Additionally, AIMS QLM addresses needs in production environments from handcrafted to high volume, the company said.
“Our corporate partnership with AIMS is yielding great results,” said Jay Fuller, vice president – manufacturing for Hatteras Yachts. “We are impressed with AIMS products, their team, and their responsiveness.”
“AIMS products reflect the company’s commitment to providing advanced technology in service of real business needs,” said Reese Stansell, Sea Ray’s executive director of Quality Systems. “AIMS was selected as our provider because they listen to their customers and provide unique solutions not offered by other vendors.”
