TowBoatU.S. Port Canaveral opens

ALEXANDRIA, Va. – On-the-water towing service TowBoatU.S., has opened its 61st port in the state of Florida with a new location at Port Canaveral, according to a TowBoatU.S. release today.

The Port Canaveral location will operate two red towboats, one of which is trailer launched due to the large number of manatee “no wake” zones in the area. It is owned and operated by Universal Yacht Services, Inc. and directed by Capt. Jess Cooley, a retired Navy commander.

“This provides much faster response times than a traditional waterway approach,” said Capt Cooley. “We cover the ICW, Banana and Indian Rivers, as well as the offshore Atlantic.”
