NMMA introduces new e-catalog for MAATS buyers

CHICAGO – The National Marine Manufacturers Association is introducing a new marketing tool to help Marine Aftermarket Accessories Trade Show (MAATS) exhibitors get their full product lines in front of the more than 200 buyers expected to attend the show, NMMA said in a press release Thursday.

MultiView, the software services company that developed the successful Ultimate Boater’s Guide for many of NMMA’s consumer boat shows this past winter, is building on the success of the guide to develop the new Electronic Marine Aftermarket Resource Tool, or E-MART, in advance of the July 8-11 Las Vegas event.

E-MART, which will be distributed as a multiple CD set to attending buyers, will include product literature and brochures from participating exhibitors. Buyers can then take the CDs home to review new products on their computers, and, by using the Internet, can check out updated product lines from MAATS exhibitors, who have the opportunity to enhance their electronic “product catalogs” throughout the year.

“E-MART is a great way for accessory manufacturers to provide buyers with up-to-date information on their full product range in one complete package,” said NMMA trade events director Jennifer Thompson. “Buyer companies informally surveyed felt that the E-MART tool would be a great resource for their buying agents.”

MultiView will be contacting MAATS exhibitors in the next few weeks with more details about E-MART. There is a production and distribution fee based on the number of pages delivered for each participating company, NMMA said.
