Conference’s combine for IMC ’05

WASHINGTON – The National Marina and Boatyard Conference will join with the International Marina Conference (IMC ’05) in San Diego this January as part of a two-year plan that will see the marina and boatyard conference return to Fort Lauderdale, Fla. in 2006, according to a press release today from the Marina Operators Association of America (MOAA).

The combined event will be held Jan. 9-12 at the San Diego Marriott Hotel & Marina by MOAA – in conjunction with the International Council of Marine Industry Associations (ICOMIA), the National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA), the International Marina Institute (IMI), and the American Boat Builders & Repairers Association (ABBRA).

“The move to the West Coast this year will allow new marine professionals to attend who may not have been able to make it to the East Coast conference in February,” MOAA Executive Director Jim Frye, CMM, said. “The conference will also showcase the fine marina facilities offered by marina operators in the state of California.”

IMC ’05, which includes both national and international marina and marine professionals, will feature interactive presentations and panels, including case studies and other informative papers from all over the world highlighting marinas. The program will begin Jan. 9 with opening ceremonies and a reception, immediately following the San Diego Boat Show.

More information on IMC ’05 can be found online at
www.internationalmarinaconference.com. The Web site allows participants to register online, exhibitors to sign up for space and companies to check out the sponsorship options available. It also includes an updated conference program.
