Cummins enters agreement with Marinediesel Sweden

ENGELHOLM, Sweden – Marinediesel Sweden AB has entered into a worldwide agreement with Cummins Mercruiser Diesel Europe to sell the Marinediesel line of V8 diesel engines coupled to the Mercruiser Bravo X diesel drives, according to a Marinediesel press release today.

“Marinediesel is strong in Europe and is aggressively expanding around the globe with a new joint venture assembly plant in Stillwater, Okla. The agreement with CMD will allow Marinediesel to promote complete engine/drive packages and expand the potential market with a factor of ten,” said Andreas Blomdahl, president of Marinediesel Sweden. “We are very happy with this agreement as it will open up a new market for Marinediesel.”

Mercruiser is the world’s largest manufacturer of sterndrives for pleasure craft and has in the past only been sold as packages with their own engines and Yanmar, according to the press release.
