Trophy Boats presents two N.Y. firefighters with fishing boat

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – Trophy Boats recently teamed with ABC’s Extreme Makeover – Home Edition to present Pete Wasserman and Joe Liselli – two New York City firemen who lost more than 15 of their fellow firefighters from their respective stations on September 11 – a Trophy 2302 Walkaround boat, the company said yesterday.

Wasserman and Liselli were sent on a chartered fishing trip to Florida while Extreme Makeover – Home Edition, renovated their apartment, but the show wanted to give the avid fishermen something more, so it teamed with Trophy to present the boat.

“This is a tremendous opportunity for Trophy,” said Dave Taylor, senior vice president of sales and marketing. “We’re passionate about fishing and being on the water, and we’re proud to be a partner in making this on-the-water dream a reality for Joe and Pete.”

“I don’t think it’s totally sunk in yet,” said Wasserman. “I’m very grateful to be here today, and frankly, I’m just overwhelmed to have a real fishing boat like this Trophy. It’s incredible.”
