RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C. – Resins manufacturer and supplier Reichhold will increase prices $.04 per pound on all unsaturated polyester resins sold in the U.S. and Canada effective for orders shipped on or after June 1, according to a release from the company this morning.
This adjustment is in addition to the increase announced in March, the company reported.
“The escalation of our raw material costs continues unabated,” said Bruce Fawcett, Reichhold senior vice president, commercial. “In addition to steep increases for styrene, glycols and other petroleum-based products, we must still contend with rising energy costs, chiefly natural gas, and increased costs in transportation and steel.”
The company said it encourages customers to speak with their local Reichhold representatives on questions related to this pricing adjustment.
