Boat sales continue to climb, inventory contracts
MIAMI – Info-Link’s March Bellwether Report, an examination of retail registration data in select major-boating states, has just been released and the news is encouraging.
“The March numbers confirm a continued trend toward higher demand and increased sales,” said Jesse Wells, director of Sales & Marketing at Info-Link.
An analysis performed by Info-Link looking at trends in inventory turn, showed that the industry is now approaching the shortest inventory turnover level in recent years. Info-Link said total time from production to retail has dropped significantly from winter 02/03 levels.

The Bellwether Report is based on new boat registrations in the key geographically dispersed states that together represent about half the U.S. boat market. Data from these states are updated on a monthly basis.
