Walker Bay Boats appoints new European distributor
UNION GAP, Wash. – Walker Bay Boats Inc has signed Lankhorst Taselaar bv as its exclusive distributor for the Netherlands and Belgium, the boat builder reported in a press release yesterday.
“One of our priorities for this year is to gain market share in Europe and bring our sales up to that of North America,” said John O’Brien, president of Walker Bay. “Lankhorsts’ reputation and presence is exactly what we look for in a distributor.”
Lankhorst Sneek bv was established in 1803 and acquired Taselaar in 1983 to form a European distributorship for water sports and sport fishing products. It is an accredited Royal Dutch company representing over 90 brands with thousands of products and selling to over 600 dealers, according to Walker Bay.
The boat builder said it will be launching two new products this year and has many new marketing initiatives underway to support aggressive growth.
