Walker Bay establishes European foothold
UNION GAP, Wash. – Walker Bay Boats Inc. and England’s E. P. Barrus Ltd. have established Walker Bay Europe Ltd. (WBE), according to a Walker Bay press release today.
WBE is a sales and service company that will support the sales of Walker Bay boats throughout its distributor network in Europe, Africa and the Middle East and will be based in Oxfordshire, England, the company reported.
WBE will provide in-time-zone sales, marketing, technical, parts and after-sales support for Walker Bay Boats and will provide in-market inventory from its U.K. warehouse, Walker Bay said.
“This new organization will dramatically raise the profile of Walker Bay in the region,” said John O’Brien, president of Walker Bay Inc. “Barrus, a very professional company, with strong experience in the European marine industry, are an excellent partner for this venture.”
WBE will be appointing an area sales manager for the territory to support existing customers and expand the distributor network to its full potential country by country, the company said.
