MAATS exhibit space sold out

CHICAGO – The exhibit floor of the Marine Aftermarket Accessories Trade Show (MAATS) has sold out, with almost 300 companies signing up to fill more than 440 booths covering 35,320 square feet, the National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA) said in a statement yesterday.

Although the floor space is filled, NMMA said opportunities still exist for companies to present new products at the show, to be held July 8-11 at the Las Vegas Hilton (S.T.E.P. dates run July 7-8).

The MAATS Marketplace allows companies to show one product with literature in a display near the entrance of the exhibit floor, and new products also receive recognition through the MAATS Web site, www.nmma.org/maats and in the show directory, according to the association.

Companies unable to exhibit or participate in the MAATS Marketplace are also allowed to participate in the New Product Preview program. For an extra fee, non-exhibitors can reserve a five-minute presentation to introduce their new product(s) to a group of more than 120 invited buyers, NMMA said.

“The accessories aftermarket has supported MAATS from the beginning, and the event continues to grow,” said MAATS’ project manager, Kathleen Clickett. “In 2005, we will be moving the show portion of the event to the Las Vegas Convention Center to accommodate the demand, and we encourage interested companies to contact NMMA to be added to the waiting list for space at next year’s show.”
