Southport Boat Works adds six dealerships

WILMINGTON, N.C. – Southport Boat Works has added six new dealerships for the company’s outboard-powered sport fishing boat line, the company said in a statement yesterday.

They include: Boats Inc. (Niantic, Conn.); Cataumet Boats (Bourne/Cape Cod, Mass. and Chatham, Mass.); Marina One (Deerfield Beach, Fla. and Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.); Caribee Boat Sales (Plantation Key, Fla.); Naples Boat Mart (Naples, Fla.); and Southport on the Gulf (Mobile, Ala., Carabelle, Fla., New Orleans, La., and Houston, Texas).

These dealerships will represent Southport products exclusively in their respective market areas over their three-year agreement terms beginning with the 2005 model year, Southport said.

“We’re obviously thrilled to attract dealerships of this caliber to the Southport brand,” said Frank Longino, Southport managing partner. “Their interest in Southport is really a tribute to our design and production team.”
