iboats.com doubles forum membership
SALT LAKE CITY – The forums portion of Utah-based iboats.com has grown dramatically over the last year, with membership doubling over the last 12 months from 20,000 to 40,095 (100.5 percent) and numbers of posts up from 165,917, to 409,998 (147.1 percent), according an iboats.com statement yesterday.
The number of topics/questions discussed have also more than doubled, from 32,967 in the spring of 2003, to 73,291 in spring 2004, an increase of 122.3 percent. And the number of discussion categories are up from 10 to 20 over the same period, iboats.com said.
“Our forums continue to grow dramatically … just one more example of the value of high-quality content and the importance of ‘ease of usability’ on the Internet for boaters and water-sports enthusiasts,” said Bruno Vassel III, chairman and CEO of iboats, inc. “It is clear that there are large numbers of boaters throughout North America and the world who need help on a wide range of boating and marine-related topics, and that iboats.com is helping to fill those needs.”
