Doyle Sailmakers forms Doyle Sails International

MARBLEHEAD, Mass. – Doyle Sailmakers has merged its Doyle Marblehead and Doyle New Zealand lofts into a single business entity, establishing Doyle Sails International and creating the world’s second largest sailmaker in the process, the company reported in a press release this morning.

Doyle Sails International will be run by company veterans Chris McMaster, Richard Bouzaid, Kristen Heissenbuttel and Bob Meagher, the company said.

McMaster and Heissenbuttel will initially focus on integrating the Marblehead and New Zealand lofts. Bouzaid will head up the Doyle International design team as well as oversee grand prix race projects, and Meagher will assume the role as full-time franchisee group manager, according to the company.

“The formation of Doyle Sails International is an exciting step for our global network of over 65 Doyle lofts and agents,” said Doyle Sails International CEO Robbie Doyle. “The move will benefit Doyle customers through the consolidation of new product and system developments, coordinated marketing and sales, unified design, production, selling, and purchasing, and most importantly an increased focus on customer service.”
