FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Volvo Penta has dedicated funds to support Marine University's (MarineU) Boater101 initiative in offering boating safety education through boat dealerships, MarineU said in a release today.
The involvement of industry supporters like Volvo Penta is essential for the success of Marine University's goal in reaching boaters, non-boaters, families and communities on a national level, MarineU said. Volvo Penta's contribution will minimize program material costs incurred by Marine University-certified dealers in offering Boater101.
"Volvo Penta is pleased to be able to support the Marine University's initiative regarding boating safety education” said Clint Moore, president of Volvo Penta and Marine University Advisory Board member. “We believe that Marine University's approach to this educational process is right.
