Edson International acquires Quality Welding, Inc.

NEW BEDFORD, Mass. – Edson International has acquired Quality Welding Inc., a Massachusetts metal fabricator, to serve as a consultant in the development of future business and products, Edson reported in a statement yesterday.

“We have worked closely with Quality Welding on many projects over the years and we have great respect for their work,” said Edson President Will Keene. “Our goal is to have a quick and smooth transition period, with zero customer disruption, as we integrate this new division into Edson.”

The new company will be named Quality Welding by Edson and will operate as a division of the parent company.

“This new division will allow Edson to expand our product line and, more importantly, it will give us the ability to serve a larger customer base with expanded fabrication services,” said Hank Keene, Edson general manager, who will oversee the new division.

Edson International manufactures a line of marine steering systems and accessories, boat davits, radar towers and marine pumps for sail and powerboats.
