TowBoatU.S. opens 12th port in North Carolina

ALEXANDRIA, Va. – TowBoatU.S. will add its twelfth North Carolina port with the opening of TowBoatU.S. Ocean Isle Beach, located near Intracoastal Waterway marker #77 at Hughes Marina at Shallotte Point, TowBoatU.S. reported in a statement today.

The operation will be the fourth owned by Captain Brian Coggeshall, who currently runs TowBoatU.S. Grand Stand, TowBoatU.S. Little River, and TowBoatU.S. Murrells Inlet.

TowBoatU.S. Ocean Isle will be operated by Capt. J. D. Brown, formerly with TowBoatU.S. Port Richey, Fla., the company reported.

“The opening of the new Ocean Isle Beach port will give us faster response time to boaters located near the Holden Beach, Ocean Isle Beach and the Sunset Beach regions,” Coggeshall said.
