EdgeWater Powerboats expands factory

EDGEWATER, Fla. – EdgeWater Powerboats recently expanded its production facility with the addition of a 22,000 square foot assembly building that brings the company’s total factory size to 72,000 square feet, EdgeWater said in a press release yesterday.

The new building currently houses assembly teams building boats under 18 feet and the company’s 26-foot Express, along with custom products. The sales and customer service group have been moved to the new building’s office. The company employs 80 people at its Edgewater, Fla. facility.

“This almost-new building came available last fall and we jumped at the opportunity, knowing that our business would be expanding this winter and spring,” said Peter Truslow, company president. “Our sales have risen dramatically over the past 18 months and this building allows us to meet the increased demand for our boats.”
