Land ‘N’ Sea awarded MerCruiser distribution
POMPANO BEACH, Fla. – Land ‘N’ Sea will now be part of the Mercury MerCruiser Engine Power Center distribution network for the territories previously serviced by Stewart & Stevenson, Land ‘N’ Sea said yesterday in a statement.
As an authorized Engine Power Center, Land ‘N’ Sea will add new MerCruiser engines, sterndrives, transom assemblies and transmissions to its product selection in a designated 30-state territory.
“Adding the Engine Power Center product range to Land ’N’ Sea’s offering was a logical step as it is already well positioned to service our customer base within these territories,” said John Ward, retail division president at Mercury Marine.
Land ‘N’ Sea will operate the physical facilities at the former Stewart & Stevenson locations in Chesapeake, Va., and Miramar, Fla., to handle the additional inventory volume and unique operational issues associated with engine distribution, the company said.
