Massey launches its own boat show

PALMETTO, Fla. – Massey Yacht Sales & Service plans to hold its first annual All Cruisers Rendezvous and Boat Show at Regatta Pointe Marina in Palmetto, May 21-23, Massey said in a recent release.

The event will feature up to 60 new or pre-owned sail and powerboats from 30-45 feet, available for display and boarding, as well as parties and cookouts with live entertainment, seminars with keynote speakers, demo cruises (reservations required), and gifts and drawings for prizes, Massey said.

All boat owners and boating enthusiasts are invited and admission is free, according to the release.

“The event will focus on a large assortment of new and pre-owned sail and power yachts, and products and services that surround the lifestyle,” said Ed Massey, president and CEO of Massey Enterprises. “There will be plenty of time to share the fun and camaraderie with other owners and cruising yachtsmen, converse with our suppliers, builders, designers, and learn a thing or two at the seminars.”

Participants wishing to list their yachts for sale will receive free consultation and a “How to Prepare Your Boat for Sale” package, Massey said.

Massey represents Catalina, Hunter, Morgan, Caliber and Mainship yachts from dual locations in St. Petersburg and Palmetto, Fla. The firm said it has enjoyed steady growth each year for the past four years. In 2003, it grossed over $15 million in sales and, having introduced two new product lines this year, projects $20 million in 2004.
