West Marine to carry Material Sciences Corporation products
ELK GROVE VILLAGE, Ill. – West Marine will begin carrying two new marine products from Material Sciences Corporation – a liquid level sensing system for holding tanks and reservoirs, and an electronic bilge pump controller for bilge pump activation – an MSC release said today.
The level-sensing system is called SensaTank, while the bilge-pump controller is known as SensaSwitch. Both products will be on store shelves by March, according to the statement.
“West Marine is the largest and most renowned retailer of after-market boat supplies in North America,” said Gregg Pardus, MSC director of business development. “It’s the perfect place to introduce our products to the general public.”
SensaTank Marine 100 and SensaSwitch represent MSC and its subsidiary – Electronic Materials and Devices Group, Inc.’s – initial entry into the marine market. Both products utilize patented Mirus detector cells, which use small micro-electric fields to detect level changes without coming into physical contact with the liquid.
