Hinckley establishes yacht brokerage company in Florida

STUART, Fla. – The Hinckley Co. has established a new Hinckley Yacht Brokerage in Stuart, Fla. to serve the growing number of Hinckley owners in the Southeast, the yacht builder said in a release today.

Prescott Brown, who served as a broker for Hal Jones & Co. prior to joining Hinckley in 2001, has been named to head the new office, which will be located at Hinckley Yacht Services, the full-service boatyard acquired by the company in 2001, Hinckley said. The brokerage is the company’s first outside of Maine.

“As more of our boats are sold in the south, this new brokerage is a natural extension of our service capability,” said Ed Roberts, vice president of sales. “We believe Hinckley owners will benefit greatly when it comes time to sell their yacht if it is brokered by someone who knows intimately the boat’s construction, history and pedigree.”
