Hatteras breaks revenue record at Miami show

NEW BERN, N.C. – Hatteras saw a 30-percent increase in units sold and a 40-percent increase in revenue at the 2004 Miami International Boat Show, compared to the previous three-year average, the company said in a release today.

“While previous shows have seen more units sold, no Miami Boat Show in recent history approached the 2004 effort in terms of retail revenue,” said Bryant Phillips, Hatteras senior vice president of sales and marketing.

Phillips attributed the increases to the continued strengthening of the economy and Hatteras’ growing momentum in new-product development.

Specific new models that led to the revenue record include the recently debuted 80 Motor Yacht, the 68 Convertible, and the newest Hatteras model, a 64 Motor Yacht that will debut in spring of 2005, the Hatteras statement reported.
