St. Louis show reports record attendance
ST. LOUIS, Mo. – The St. Louis Business Journal reported in a story last week that despite poor winter weather, the St. Louis Boat and Sports Show at America’s Center posted record attendance at its show Feb. 3-8.
The National Marine Manufacturers Association said attendance was 31-percent higher than in 2003. Mark Adams, mid-south regional show manager for the NMMA, attributed the increase to the expansion of exhibitor space and the addition of new features, such as the DockDogs Big Air competition.
Several exhibitors also said they had their best show ever based on sales, the association said.
