Miami mayor to launch Strictly Sail Miami

MIAMI, Fla.– Miami Mayor Manny Diaz will officially designate Miami’s Miamarina at Bayside and Dinner Key Marina as “Clean Marinas,” during a ribbon-cutting ceremony at Bayside Marketplace on Feb. 12 to launch the 19th edition of “Strictly Sail Miami,” according to a release issued by event promoters.

The ribbon cutting will take place at 10 a.m. and will be followed immediately by the designation of Miamarina and Dinner Key Marina, which were recognized last December by the Florida Department of Environmental Protection together with the Clean Boating Partnership, as the second and third Clean Marinas to attain the designation in Miami-Dade County, and the 72nd and 73rd in the State of Florida.

Both marinas are owned and operated by the City of Miami’s Department of Public Facilities, and provide transient, long-term and commercial dockage to over 700 vessels.
