Mack Boring eyes expansion with land purchase

UNION, N.J. – Mack Boring & Parts Co. continued its expansion plans for the Carolinas by purchasing additional acreage for its facility in Wilmington, N.C., a Wednesday press release said.

The land will provide the company an opportunity to double, or even triple, the size of its full-service facility, necessary to accommodate the distribution of the new, larger, Yanmar marine diesel engines. Mack Boring’s goal is to finalize plans for the design specs by this summer.

“We siezed a great opportunity to buy this property,” Mack Boring Vice President Steve McGovern said. “This gives us impressive flexibility for future development and growth.”

Mack Boring, a distributor of marine and industrial engines, generators and transmissions, said it has seen impressive sales growth of its Global Power Products, the generator and pump products built at the Wilmington facility.
