Crystal-Pierz Marine sells 359 boats in five days

CRYSTAL, Minn. – Crystal-Pierz Marine broke sales records at the 2004 Minneapolis Boat Show, selling 359 boats in five days for more than $7.7 million in revenue, the boat dealer reported in a statement today.

The dealer’s previous Minneapolis Show record was 352 set in 2002.

“Those numbers are the result of hard work and professionalism,” said Dave Perkins, president of General Sports Shows.

Luke Kujawa, vice president of Crystal-Pierz Marine, said the boat dealer set some aggressive goals for the show, “but considering the frigid temperatures and limited run of the show, we knew it would be a challenge to surpass the success of 2002. I guess it goes to show you what can be accomplished through hard work, and a staff dedicated to getting families on the water.”

Boat builder Genmar Holdings, Inc. recognized Crystal-Pierz Marine’s accomplishment.

“Sales totals of this caliber are virtually unheard of for this five-day show,” said Genmar Chairman Irwin Jacobs. “To average 70 boat sales a day, in Minnesota, in January – is remarkable.”

Originally founded in 1956, Crystal-Pierz Marine said it is the largest volume dealer of Glastron, Lund, Bennington and Crestliner boats in the world and currently has 11 locations.
