Powerboat sales holding steady

MIAMI, Fla. – New boat sales in the 15-foot-plus powerboat segment held steady in positive territory during the months of September, October and November, according to Info-Link’s November Bellwether Report, released today.

Of particular interest is the outboard fiberglass category, which continues a healthy upward trend, especially in the warmer states, Info-Link reported.

Among the manufacturers in this segment that were up during this three-month period compared to the same period of 2002 were: Tracker Marine, Hurricane, Carolina Skiff, Key West, Marine Manufacturing and Ranger.

More details, including rolling six- and 12-month comparisons, can be viewed at www.info-link.com/report.asp.

Info-Link’s Bellwether Report is based on new boat registrations in the key geographically dispersed states that together represent about half of the U.S. boat market. Data from these states are updated on a monthly basis.
