Offshore Sailing School and The Moorings offer multihull class

FORT MYERS, Fla. – In response to the growing popularity of multihulls, Offshore Sailing School and Moorings Yacht Charters have joined forces to launch a new Live-Aboard Cruising course for catamaran sailors in the Caribbean, they reported in a recent statement.

This new course, offered from the Moorings base on the island of St. Martin in the Leeward Islands, adds specific multihull focus to the Live Aboard Cruising course already taught on monohulls by Offshore Sailing School for US SAILING certification, the companies reported.

Catamaran Course dates now in place for 2004 are as follows:
February 1-8, March 14-21, April 18-25, and May 16-23.

“The popularity of catamarans has grown considerably in the past decade,” explained Van Perry, director of marketing for The Moorings. “We’ve responded to the demand by adding new catamaran models into our fleet each year over the past five years.”
