MIAMI, Fla. – Info-Link's October Bellwether Report suggests that powerboat sales continue to grow, compared to last year, supporting the cautiously optimistic outlook many economists have adopted as 2004 approaches, the company reported in a statement Friday.
"Given the time of the year, it is becoming evident in the reports that the warm weather states, particularly Florida, are starting to have a huge impact on the numbers," said Jesse Wells, director of Sales & Marketing. "This being the case, it is encouraging to see that the fiberglass outboard [sport fishing] segment is showing signs of continued growth."
Info-Link's Bellwether Report for powerboats over 15 feet in length can be viewed at www.info-link.com/report.asp.
It is compiled from new boat registration data in several key geographically dispersed states that, as a group, closely track the overall U.S. boat market, according to the company.
