Navman awarded special mention at METS awards

Navman was awarded a Special Mention for its G-Pilot 3100 at the 2003 Marine Equipment Trade Show (METS) Design Awards, according to a press release issued by the company.

Navman has included a rate gyro as standard with the G-Pilot 3100, which is said to ensure that the unit provides superior course holding in the widest range of sea conditions. The product is designed for boats 25 to 55 feet in.

A record 166 entries were received for this year’s awards. The awards have been running since 1991 and provide a platform for judging originality, ease of use, ingenuity and ratio of price to performance in marine equipment and accessories.
