Burger Boats planning $5.7 million expansion
MANITOWOC, Wis. – Yacht builder Burger Boats is planning to undergo a $5.7 million expansion and add more than 100 new employees, WBAY TV reported in a recent article.
The new 40,000-square-foot facility will allow the company to keep up with demand for its boats, the size of which also continues to grow, according to the media firm.
Construction is slated to begin in the next few weeks and finish this summer, reported WBAY TV. Meanwhile, the Manitowoc Common Council is planning to ask the Wisconsin Department of Commerce for a $1 million loan, which it will give to Burger, the article stated.
