Cruisers Yachts signs new Chicagoland dealer

OCONTO, Wis. — Cruisers Yachts has just signed a new dealer in the Chicagoland area, it announced in a statement today. Springbrook Marina, based in the Illinois River Valley town of Seneca, Illinois, is the yacht manufacturer’s newest dealer.

“We’re extremely pleased to sign a dealer of this caliber,” said Don DePouw, vice president of marketing for Cruisers Yachts. “And, we can now offer boaters in the greater Chicagoland area even easier access to our product line.”

Located approximately one-hour southwest of Chicago, Springbrook Marina has been known for being a top Carver Yachts dealer; it has sold Carver boats for more than 26 years, according to Cruisers Yachts.

“With the addition of Cruisers Yachts, we can really offer our customers something new and exciting,” said Steve Wenzel, general manager/sales manager for Springbrook Marina. “We’re thrilled to have a product line like Cruisers Yachts in this area, and we’re impressed with the high quality of the yachts and the company. The fit and finish is extraordinary, and you can’t beat that Midwestern craftsmanship and work ethic.”

Springbrook Marina was founded in 1961 by the Thorpe family, who still own and operate the business. Its single location includes such amenities as an indoor showroom, a public restaurant and lounge, marine accessories, brokerage service, marine financing and insurance services, 200 slips in floating docks (Springbrook has three protected harbors with utilities), an indoor dry dock, fiberglass and mechanical repair, diesel conversions, custom interior installations and a 50-ton Marine Travelift boat hoist for launching and hauling out.

According to DePouw and Wenzel, Springbrook Marina serves the southern Lake Michigan/Northern Illinois market.
