BROOKLIN, Maine -- Boatbuilding professionals in the Northeastern United States and in Great Britain can now visit www.ibexu.com for details about the upcoming IBEX U 2004 events in Rockport, Maine, and Bournemouth, England, show organizers announced today.
IBEX U owner and producer, Professional BoatBuilder magazine, has established a URL and Web site for the regional version of the International BoatBuilders’ Exhibition & Conference, which allows IBEX U attendees and exhibitors to visit the virtual trade show directly without entering via the main IBEX Web site, according to show organizers.
Information will be available soon on the site about the first international IBEX U event at the Bournemouth International Conference Center, held April 15-16, in Bournemouth, England, as well as the U.S. event in Rockport, Maine, February 25–26.
The IBEX U Web site will operate using the same technologically advanced trade show software as the IBEX Web site, offering a live floor plan for visitors to map out their time at IBEX U, and exhibitor and product search functions so visitors may find the companies, tools, and materials they want to source, said show organizers.
Both 2004 IBEX U events will be tailored for the regions they’re hosted by, incorporating seminar topics specifically designed to address the needs of U.K. and Northeastern U.S. boat builders, designers, repairers, surveyors, and marina/boatyard operators. Tradespeople from these two regions are invited to request topics online on the Web site. The final conference schedule, will also be available soon, according to show organizers.
"IBEX U has been established as a unique, necessary trade event for boatbuilding professionals worldwide," said Carl Cramer, publisher of Professional BoatBuilder magazine and IBEX U show director. "Providing exhibitors and attendees with a dedicated IBEX U Web site is one of many ways we are trying to further satisfy the needs of everyone in the industry."
