Fairline Boats reports record sales at Fort Lauderdale show
FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Fairline Boats of North America experienced record sales at the 2003 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, the company reported in a statement Friday.
For example, the new Fairline Flagship, the $3.25 million Fairline Squadron 74, was shown for the first time at this year’s Fort Lauderdale show and was sold on the second day, according to the boat builder. The new owner is trading up from his current Squadron 65.
Added to sales of several other boats and quality enquiries, Fairline said the show is “one of the most successful shows ever.”
The company reported it is busy with customer and press sea trials this week and anticipates further sales to be secured.
Jim Renfrow, vice president of Fairline Boats of North America, said he sees the introduction of the Squadron 74 as a key to strong sales for 2004.
“The U.S. buyer appreciates the quality of design and build of the Fairline brand and the new 74 allows us to further expand our customer base. With new models coming into the market place next year I am optimistic that 2004 will be a good year for sales here in the U.S.”
