Motorcar Parts of America to enter marine market
LAS VEGAS, Nev. — Motorcar Parts of America (MPA) will introduce a new line of personal watercraft starters, the company announced at the AAPEX tradeshow in Las Vegas.
Personal watercraft (PWC), which includes JetSki and Seadoo brands, represents a new vehicular segment for the 35-year-old company.
Building upon MPA’s expertise in automotive starters and alternators, the expansion to PWC starters appeared to be a natural fit, according to the company.
“The growing popularity of personal watercraft has contributed to increased demand for high quality aftermarket starters for these vehicles,” said CEO Selwyn Joffe. “MPA’s advanced engineering and manufacturing techniques enable us to provide a line of remanufactured PWC starters that will extend our reputation for reliability.”
