Powerboat sales on positive track

MIAMI, Fla. – Info-Link’s September Bellwether Report shows a continuation of the “cautiously optimistic” outlook put forth last month, the company reported in a statement Friday.

“In our view, there are three factors that support a positive outlook for the remainder of 2003: (a) the fact that September is in line with the past few months that show positive year-over-year comparisons (b) the fact that we’re seeing movement across almost every segment of the market, and (c) it is consistent with recent economic data for September, which shows higher-than-expected growth,” said Jesse Wells, director of sales and marketing at Info-Link.

Info-Link’s Bellwether Report for powerboats over 15 feet in length can be viewed at www.info-link.com/report.asp.

It is compiled from new boat registration data in several key geographically dispersed states that, as a group, closely track the overall U.S. boat market, according to the company.
