Ritz teams up with Amazon.com

IRVINE, Calif. — Ritz Interactive, the e-commerce network that includes online shopping sites, such as BoatersWorld.com, has teamed up with Amazon.com to bring a wide range of boating and fishing products to the online retailer’s newly launched Sporting Goods Store, Ritz reported in a statement yesterday.

The alliance puts more than 25,000 different marine-specialty items available to Amazon.com customers, the company stated.

The Amazon.com Sporting Goods Store (www.amazon.com/sportinggoods) was officially launched on September 22, according to the company.

By teaming with Ritz Interactive’s BoatersWorld.com, boaters and anglers at all levels of proficiency will be able to find the products and accessories they are looking for. The Amazon.com Sporting Goods Store offers useful product reviews and buying guides designed to help consumers make well-informed purchasing decisions, stated the company.

Fred H. Lerner, president and CEO of Ritz Interactive, is excited about the role BoatersWorld.com will play in Amazon.com’s expansion to the sporting goods arena.

“In creating its new online Sporting Goods Store, Amazon.com has assembled a winning team of best-of-breed merchants — companies with a proven track record for providing quality products and superior customer service,” said Lerner. “We look forward to helping Amazon.com customers get whatever they need in the way of boating and fishing equipment quickly and easily, at the lowest possible prices.”
