Marinco 50-Amp Cordset
Marinco Recreation Group has introduced what it calls several key improvements into its newly released 50-amp Cordset. Integrating all-vinyl molded plugs and connector ends for watertight connections and ergonomically designed handgrips for ease of use both contribute to making the Cordset more reliable, durable, and easier to use, according too Marinco. Offered in 50A/125V or 50A/250V configurations, the 50-amp Cordsets are constructed of “super flexible” marine cable in 12-, 25-, and 50-foot lengths in either white or high-visibility yellow and include a five-year warranty. KVH TracVision G8
KVH Industries has introduced the newest member of its TracVision product line, the TracVision G8. Equipped with a 32-inch carbon fiber antenna, fiber optic gyro stabilization, all of which are housed in a dome more than 35-percent smaller than other satellite TV antennas, the TracVision G8, KVH says, is the most advanced maritime satellite television antenna available. Its integrated Digital Video Broadcasting technology enables TracVision G8 to positively identify and receive programming from all modern TV satellites, and its antenna is fully compatible with KVH’s TracNet 2.0 Mobile High-Speed Internet System. Marine Travelift 400C
The new 400 C from Marine Travelift, Inc. is said to be the first of a new generation of the company’s mobile boat hoists. Incorporating many of the design and performance features of the company’s 800 BFM, the 400 C features an open-end, single-top-beam design with eight independent hoists to lift four sling sets. The sling sets automatically adjust and equalize the load for the safest handling of boats up to 200 feet long and 400 metric tons. Marine Travelift says the 400 C offers exceptional maneuverability and versatility in marina and boatyard environments with one-person wireless remote-control operation, 90-degree pivot steering and the ability to to operate on a grade up to 6 percent with full load. Westerbeke MVP3
Known for its small engines and generators, Westerbeke Corp. has just introduced what it says is the industry’s smallest gasoline generator. Nicknamed the MVP3, the 3.0BPMG, the generator delivers 3 kW of “utility grade” power (120 volts, 25 amps) yet measures only 24.6″ x 13.6″ x 14.5″ and weighs only 165 pounds. The MVP3 is said to use a permanent magnet generator in a small, compact, completely sealed design. With 5-percent voltage regulation and electronic governor, output through no-load to full-load is said to maintain a utility-grade sine wave. Egg Harbor 43
Egg Harbor says it has brought a new level of design and production to its new 43. Its new concave bottom with shaft pockets is said to allow for lesser shaft angles and create a more level riding boat with less draft.
