ANNAPOLIS, Md. — The National Sailing Center & Hall of Fame has organized a consortium for its Learning Math and Science through Sailing Initiative. The consortium is in partnership with Hudson River Community Sailing’s accredited After School Program and the Young Mariners Foundation program.
The national consortium was formed to share curriculum and best practices in order to promote similar programs throughout the country. The consortium includes organizations from California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Mariland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Vermont, Washington D.C., Wisconsin and Bermuda
As program descriptions and materials are available, they will be posted on the National Sailing Center & Hall of Fame website and Facebook page. A meeting of the consortium is scheduled for Oct. 7 in Annapolis during the 2011 Annapolis Sailboat Show.
