THOMASTON, Maine — Nine participants in the USCG Captain’s License training class took their oath on Friday in Thomaston. The Marine Systems Training Center partnered with the TrueCourse Captain’s School to offer a series of USCG training sessions.
Under the training of Captain Dick Devoe, participants were prepared for the OUPV (6-passenger) License, the Master Upgrade, as well as the Tow and Sail Endorsements.
Lori Edwards Ball from Camden National Bank in Thomaston performed the swearing in ceremony, and Lindsay Lenor helped notarize the official documents to be submitted to the Coast Guard for their licenses. The Marine Systems Training Center will be planning more USCG License training classes for the coming summer and fall.
