Peters & May signs transport agreement with UIM
FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – A partnership agreement has been signed between UIM, the governing body for all powerboating activities, and transport provider Peters & May, appointing the company as UIM Approved Marine Transport Provider for a period of three years, according to a recent release.
The release went on to say that Peters & May has become the first marine transport provider to be accredited by the UIM “for the high standard of logistics services it provides and also its focus on development of the sport at all levels.”
“We are delighted to receive such an accreditation from powerboat racing’s governing body and even more delighted to have been selected as their ‘Approved Marine Transport Provider,’“ said Peters & May President Dave Holley. “Our team is passionate about the sport and this shows the way that we carry out our business. The UIM is instrumental in assisting power boaters of all ages, genders nationalities to compete in the sport and we are honored to be involved with such an organization.”
“We are very pleased to have selected Peters & May as new UIM strategic partner granting to this leading maritime logistic organization the status of ‘UIM Approved Marine Transport Provider,’” said Dr. Raffaele Chiulli, UIM president. “The UIM is strengthening the relationship with the boatyard industry and this partnership represents another important step within our strategic plan.”
Peters & May to sponsor race team
In a separate press release, it was reported that Peters & May has become title sponsor of the newly formed H1 Unlimited Race Group Race Team. Scott Raney, a 22-year veteran of Unlimited Hydroplane Racing, recently formed the team with his wife Shannon and driver JW Myers.
