IMBC: Keynote address inspires audience
FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla.—Vince Morvillo, owner of Sea Lake Yacht Sales, discussed overcoming challenging economic times during his keynote speech at the International Marina & Boatyard Conference, according to a recent release from the Association of Marina Industries.
“Change is an opportunity. We must embrace the change, work with it, and become comfortable with it,” Morvillo said during his speech. “We have to look for what’s possible and see what the opportunities are.”
During his address, Morvillo suggested being part of the solution rather than waiting to see what will happen next in the economy and how that will affect marina industry businesses. He shared examples from inside and outside of the industry of how others have overcome challenges. He also used his own personal and business experiences to inspire attendees to think creatively about their businesses and put their ideas into action, the release noted.
The International Marina & Boatyard Conference will continue through Jan. 28 at the Greater Fort Lauderdale/Broward County Convention Center in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
