IMI unveils strategic plan

WARREN, R.I. — The International Marina Institute, the training subsidiary of the Association of Marina Industries, recently released a portion of its new strategic plan, which details its approach to international training.
 
The 2011 IMI Strategic Plan details key focus issues including professionalism and customized education delivered locally, as well as building long-term capacity for training and certification programs, according to a release.
 
“We believe that this strategic plan represents a global approach to training which is the fastest, smartest and most powerful way to grow the CMM community and professional training worldwide,” Jim Frye, president of AMI, said in the release. “IMI remains committed to growing participation and interest in the Intermediate Marina Manager and Advanced Marina Manager programming and to encouraging more marina professionals to pursue and achieve the CMM designation in the States and beyond” continued Frye.
 
IMI will continue to deliver professional marina management courses such as the aforementioned IMM and AMM as well as a Marina Operators Course.
