New consulting firm to focus on marine industry

WILMINGTON, N.C. — Business Development Concepts, a new sales and business development consulting firm, will focus on helping boat dealers and manufacturers, according to a release from the company. The company offers sales planning, development and business-to-business development. Its primary focus will be the utilization of its “Boat Sales University” sales training program.

Business Development Concepts was founded by Tim Wilson. Wilson most recently served as VP of Franchise Development and Sales for Sea Tow Services International. He previously served as Regional Editor for Sportfishing Report magazine.

The “Boat Sales University” program consist of three levels of sales training that begins with basic sales fundamentals and continues to the intermediate and advance level. The 20-hour program is Web-based and addresses the boat dealer sales process.

“With ‘Boat Sales University’ being the cornerstone of the Business Development Concepts focus, the company’s goal is to encourage the nation’s boat dealers to increase boat sales through improved sales skills and improved professionalism,” according to the release.
