Navico centralizes Canadian distribution

TULSA, Okla. – Navico has joined forces with marine electronics distributor CMC Electronics to centralize Canadian distribution of products within its brands and enhance customer care and support, according to a release from Navico.

Effective Oct. 4, CMC will have exclusive distribution rights for the Lowrance, Simrad and B&G brands, making the distributor the sole source for Navico-owned marine electronics brands in Canada.

Navico and CMC Electronics have entered into discussions on how to best integrate Navico’s operations in Canada into CMC in order to ensure a smooth transition for sales, logistics and customer support.

“We look forward to strengthening our relationship with CMC,” Louis Chemi, chief operating officer of Navico Americas, said in the release. “Having already demonstrated their ability to actively supply the marine industry with world-class customer support and a rapid response time from their local warehouses, CMC’s new association with Navico represents a tremendous opportunity for the Lowrance, Simrad and B&G brands through enhanced customer and technical support, strategically warehoused inventories and streamlined warranty-replacement programs for Canadian dealers.”

CMC Electronics is a wholly owned subsidiary of Esterline Corporation.
