Consulting firm buys rights to nautical business software
CANTON, Ga. — Alliance Management & Consulting Group recently acquired two marine-based software programs, according to a release from the group.
MSHOP Software (now Marine Shop) is a marine service department software program developed in 1992 that specializes in small service-only repair shops. WatchCaptain Professional (now Management PRO) software specializes in the small to medium-sized marine businesses that require full management features with an accounting general ledger.
“Marine businesses who weathered the economic storm had solid service foundations, and it is these businesses that will experience resurgence in the boating industry. They will become the backbone of the ‘new boating industry’ as they grow to fulfill the needs of new boat sales when the industry recovers in the near future,” Joe DeMarco, president and founder of AMCG, said in the release. “Management PRO’s direct link to Quick Books is very important because Quick Books is the account software used by most marine businesses. This was one of the main reasons we made the purchase.”
The software products will be sold under the new brand Nautical Software Solution.
