ZF Marine opens technical training center
MIRAMAR, Fla. — ZF Marine LLC, the North American subsidiary of ZF Marine Group in Padova, Italy, has officially opened its new Technical Training Center, according to a release from the company.
The new training center, located at ZF Marine’s new North American headquarters in Miramar, provides ZF Marine’s authorized North and Central American service partners with comprehensive training modules on all the company’s products.
“Expanding our training capabilities was one of the priorities when we were building our new headquarters facility,” Tim McFarland, ZF Marine’s aftermarket segment manager, said in the release. “Our rapidly expanding product offering combined with the ongoing expansion of our independent service network made sending factory training personnel into the field inefficient.”
The new facility comprises two parts, a classroom for theoretical training and a dedicated shop area for practical training. The classroom is capable of accommodating 24 students. Bilingual instructors allow ZF Marine to host courses in both English and Spanish.
