Tigé Boats increases market share in Q1

ABILENE, Texas – Tigé Boats has captured 8.3 percent of the market share for 2010 first quarter U.S. retail sales of 20 foot to 24 foot ski boats, according to a recent report from Statistical Surveys, Inc. The report reflects new titled and/or registered ski boats that sold retail in the U.S. from January to March.

Tigé touted the accomplishment in a recent release, noting its market share represents a 130.6 percent increase from 2009’s first quarter. The company also pointed out that according to the report, of the top five leading ski boat manufactures, Tigé was the only company to make significant market share gains.

Tigé attributed its growth to an “aggressive, innovative approach to design, engineering and product development.”

“Tigé has received tremendous praise from media, boat owners and dealers from the innovation of the TigéTouch,” the company said in its release. “Other highly-successful development projects include the AlphaZ cast aluminum tower with fully-integrated lighting, speakers and board racks, fiberglass floor liners with snap-out carpet, and advanced ballast systems for wakeboarding and wake surfing. This market share gain is proof that innovation is the key to growth in challenging economies.”
