Marketing consultant offers flexible payment plan

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. — Mike Dickman, a 20-year marine industry marketing veteran, is offering clients a new opportunity: an hourly, daily or monthly rate to develop and execute marketing strategies. Dickman said in a release he wants to work with marine businesses that don’t have the budget or the need for a full-time marketing employee.

Strategies could range from the traditional marketing concepts through the new media strategies of Internet marketing, social networking and social marketing, Dickman said.

Dickman began his career with the Marine Industries Association of South Florida as director of Association Services. He has since worked with companies such as Bertram Yacht as marketing manager; he was the marketing director for Ferretti of America and Pershing of America; and he worked at HMY Yacht Sales as director of marketing. Since the spring of 2009, he has been working as a marketing consultant for YachtWorld.com and Boats.com and has recently become part of the Dominion Marine Media group’s marketing team.
